"I am compelled by the sense of a dream-like construct, a place reinvented from memory, and the scale of our longing for such places.  They reference things we know; however they are not real places. The speed at which I am able to make the models, combined with an intention to not over-think them, has led me to new territory which I find really exciting.  I wanted to explore ideas in three dimensions without taking up a lot of room, and so beginning with materials found in my studio, I started making models and placing them in a white-washed dollhouse that was built for my daughters. This allows me to see which work I might want to pursue on a large scale when and if the opportunity arises."
