"Tilt"

Artist Statement:
Materials to create the work exhibited in Tilt were reclaimed from my garbage can and recycling bin. Small bits of refuse and packaging have been slathered with paper pulp, then carved, painted, sanded and slathered again. This cyclical building process transforms the chosen debris to create an odd catalog of my consumption. Tilt questions my own consumerism while elevating my household chores and detritus to artifacts worthy of inspection.
